There’s nothing stronger than the heart of a volunteer!
Volunteers play a vital role at Kachina’s Place. Volunteers are needed to assist with horse care, barn chores, riding lessons, outreach, fundraising, office work, and facility maintenance. Horse knowledge and experience is not a necessity. We offer a training program for all new volunteers that is both educational and comprehensive. Proper horse-handling techniques and safety precautions are emphasized. Staff and senior volunteers will work with you to provide you the tools and skills you need to be a successful volunteer.
Volunteer Opportunities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading horses
- Exercising horses
- Grooming & Tacking horses
- Feeding Horses
- Mucking Stalls and Turn Outs
- Art Projects
- Grant writing
