As a non-profit, the only reward we need is the satisfaction of our participants and volunteers. Below you will see some of the wonderful praise we’ve been so blessed to receive.
The owners, staff, and volunteers at Kachina’s Place are amazing!! My daughter, Jordan, hasn’t been around horses before and she is very timid. Frankie is so patient, so encouraging, and so understanding with her. Jordan is learning to care for the horses along with hopefully riding some day. Her confidence is building and I feel extremely blessed that we found Kachina’s Place!
When my daughter was three years old she began taking riding lessons from Franky. At first she was so scared her lip was quivering but each week she gained more and more confidence. Now at five years old she can competently steer the horse and ride by herself thanks to Franky’s expertise, patience and kindness – she makes it so much fun too! I especially like the way Kachina’s Place includes the whole equine experience including grooming, tacking, riding, bathing, and even mucking the stalls – all of which she really enjoys (even the Poop Patrol!) Besides teaching responsibility, spending this much time with the horse deepens the bond between horse and rider. She loves it all so much she wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up!

Thank you for making Alec’s time at Kachina’s Place so much fun and so memorable. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time with you and appreciate all your transforming gifts. It is obvious you both have a passion and gift for what you are doing.
Our son, Edward is an adorable, unique little boy who happens to also be autistic. We found out about Kachina’s Place through a charity event that they participated in. We were thrilled to find out about them and immediately setup our first appointment for Edward to participate in equine therapy. From the moment, Edward saw his first horse, we knew we found the perfect place for Edward to thrive! For the first time in Edward’s short 4 years of life, I saw Edward smile continuously for the full 1.5 hours we were there! On his first visit, Edward would not ride even a mini pony without assistance as Edward is very skittish to try anything new especially when he can’t be 100% in control. He was very happy helping grooming and leading the horses around. But with Franky’s very patient and gentle ways, Edward’s confidence has grown tenfold. Now after only a couple of sessions, not only will Edward ride the mini pony, he also rides a full size horse unassisted! Every Saturday morning I have to set the timer so that Edward knows when it goes off its time to put on his cowboy boots and go see Joey and Chocolate (his two favorite horses). If I do not set the timer, Edward would be asking every 30 seconds if it is time to go. LOL.
I can’t say enough about this wonderful place and the caring, loving employees that work there. Frankie is a miracle worker who has made such positive changes in our son. I will always be forever grateful to Kachina’s place and I look forward to many years with them!
